Nahid's Story
My name is Nahid, and caring for children has been my calling for as long as I can remember. I opened Nahid Child Daycare in 2016 with one simple belief: every child deserves to be seen, heard, and loved — not just watched over. What started as a dream to bring warmth and structure to early childhood has grown into a licensed home daycare trusted by dozens of families across Gaithersburg and greater Montgomery County.
Before opening my doors, I spent years studying child development and working with young children in both formal and family settings. That experience taught me that the earliest years of a child's life are the most formative — and that the environment around them matters enormously. I wanted to build a place that felt genuinely like home: small enough for every child to know they matter, and structured enough that real learning happens every single day.
As a native Farsi speaker, I am proud to offer a bilingual Farsi and English environment for families in our community. Many families in Gaithersburg, Rockville, and North Potomac are searching for a Farsi-speaking daycare or a Persian daycare where their children can grow up connected to their cultural roots while also building strong English language skills. At Nahid Child Daycare, both languages are woven naturally into songs, stories, and daily conversation — giving children a gift that will serve them for life.
My husband Issa shares this vision and works alongside me every day to make sure our home is safe, welcoming, and full of joy. Together, we treat every child who walks through our door as part of our own family — because to us, they truly are.
